Occassionally, a few of my students injure fingers, hands, wrists, etc. with activities such as sports. In some cases, they cut fingers with everyday gadgets (i.e. knife!) I am so sorry to hear that! Accidents happen. Whenever parents consult me in this regard, I encourage them by saying “but you (or your kid) have another hand to play piano! So don’t give up!
This prompted me to create some videos for one hand only piano music. There are many piano music for one hand, so don’t despair, everyone.
One hand piano playing will shed the light in different perspective in terms of piano playing. Positioning of hands, balance, even how to use the pedals. Enjoy the journey exploring.
